Wordsworth & Associates is also a member of the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators www.iafci.org . The Consulting Team

The Wordsworth & Associates Team are seasoned security professionals, who have obtained various certifications as certified information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP), SANS Certified Global Information Assurance Professional (GIAC), the Information Systems Professional of Canada (I.S.P.), the Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP) and the Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

The C.I.S.S.P. was first developed to help identify professionals who had the knowledge base, ethics and commitment to manage information systems security for government and industry. The C.I.S.S.P. is recognized worldwide as a symbol of professionalism and accomplishment in the field of Information Systems Security.

The SANS (SysAdmin, Audit, Network, Security) Institute was established in 1989 as a cooperative research and education organization. Its programs now reach more than 165,000 security professionals, auditors, system administrators, network administrators, chief information security officers, and Chief Information Officer’s who share the lessons they are learning and jointly find solutions to the challenges they face. At the heart of SANS  are the many security practitioners in government agencies, corporations, and universities around the world who invest hundreds of hours each  year in research and teaching to help the entire information security community.

The I.S.P. is a Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) administered designation awarded to IT professionals who have met the required education and industry experience and have demonstrated a commitment to professional ethics. The I.S.P. is the only legislated professional designation for Information Technology professionals in Canada. It was introduced in 1989, by the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) www.cips.ca . Until then, IT practitioners were without the benefits such a professional designation offers.

The ITCP designation is directed specifically to senior IT practitioners and academics who want to demonstrate to their employer, their clients, their students and their partners that in addition to their IT knowledge, they understand how to effectively utilize and apply their organizational experience to achieving organizational excellence. The ITCP standard has been accredited by the International Professional Practice Partnership  (IP3) and ITCP holders are internationally recognized under the IP3 umbrella. 

The Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation is the profession's only international certification mark, recognized in more than 40 countries. It represents a commitment to the highest standards of consulting and adherence to the ethical canons of the profession. CMC-Canada administers, and its provincial Institutes confer, the CMC designation in Canada.

Principal Consultant

The principal consultant and founder, Charles Wordsworth, has over 20 years experience in the Information Technology Industry in Canada, the United States and overseas. In addition to his role as Principal Consultant of Wordsworth & Associates, he served as National President of the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS), Canada's largest association of information technology (IT) professionals. 

Charles Wordsworth has the Information Systems Professional of Canada (I.S.P.) Certification, an internationally recognized information technology designation. He is also an Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).  Wordsworth is also a certified network forensics professional.
